Resident Mentoring Session

60 minutes

This is our standard online session designed to improve Dental Students’ chances of landing interviews and securing residency positions. Residents review the Dental Student’s sign up questionnaire prior to the session so you can jump right into discussion. The Dental Student and Resident have 1 hour to discuss the following:

  • Information on the specialty

  • Advice on application

  • Interview preparation

  • Personal experiences in the program

Resident Mentoring + Mock Interview

60 Minutes + Mock Interview (60 min)

In addition to the standard Resident Mentoring session, Dental Students will have the chance to experience an online mock interview hosted by the same Resident. The Resident will:

  • Ask standard residency interview questions (~30 minutes)

  • Give feedback on how answers and delivery can be optimized (~30 minutes)

Booking:

  1. The Resident Mentoring session is booked through the RHDS website.

  2. The Mock Interview will take place on a mutually agreed upon later date.

Resident Mentoring + Personal Statement Edits

60 minutes + Edits + Debrief (30 min)

In addition to the standard Resident Mentoring session, Dental Students has their personal statement edited by the same Resident. Dental Students will:

  • Send their personal statement to the Resident after the mentoring session

  • Receive feedback within 2 weeks of submitting

  • Meet with the Resident online to go through the edits

Booking:

  1. The Resident Mentoring session is booked through the RHDS website

  2. The Debrief will take place on a mutually agreed upon later date.
